To further the advancement of all hound purebred dogs

To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of purebred hounds at dog shows and performance events

To conduct sanctioned matches, dog shows, and all AKC events for which the club is eligible under the Rules and Regulations of The American Kennel Club
We are a group of people dedicated to all things hound. Our members are involved in activities that include AKC conformation, lure coursing, obedience, agility, rally, dock diving, earthdog, field hunts, oval and straight racing, barnhunts and therapy dog. This only goes to show you how versatile the hound breeds are.

Sight & Scent Hounds
The hound group is often distinguished by two types of hounds: Sight and Scent
Sighthounds
These dogs are know for hunting by sighting their game and giving chase.
Scenthounds
These dogs are know for tracking their quarry by following their scent. They usually bray or give voice once they are on the trail or if the game is cornered.
