Alaska Hound Group Association's (AHGA) mission is
-
To further the advancement of all hound purebred dogs
-
To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of purebred hounds at dog shows and performance events
-
To conduct sanctioned matches, dog shows, and all AKC events for which the club is eligible under the Rules and Regulations of The American Kennel Club
How to become a member:
We hold general/board meetings regularly; usually corresponding to another dog event so that more of our statewide members are able to attend.
Prospective members need to attend at least one meeting and submit a member application form. You do not have to have a hound to be a member.
Our annual meeting is held in November in conjunction with the Cook Inlet Kennel Club show weekend. Officers for the new year are voted on then.
Membership Dues (due each January and considered lapsed by March):
Individual $20
Junior $15
Family $35
